How Entourage Desktop works
From incoming words to a living ensemble.
This page documents the released Windows application's workflow. Entourage Online preserves the product's proven capabilities while replacing the installer and window-capture workflow with hosted configuration and a browser source.
1. Build reusable performers
Character Viewers hold independent Jane and John presets. Each preset saves its name, appearance, voice, and model-specific framing.
2. Route the words
Manual text, Codex tasks, appended text files, Twitch, Kick, or YouTube can feed the speech pipeline. Each chat platform has a default viewer and character, with optional username-specific assignments.
3. Render locally
The bundled Kokoro runtime converts supported-language text into speech on the computer. Timing data drives mouth shapes while the selected character remains visually present.
4. Direct the stage
Place one switching speaker, multiple independently switching groups, or a visible ensemble. Move, resize, pan, zoom, rotate, align, distribute, and grid viewers, then save the layout.
5. Make rewards part of the show
Entourage-created Twitch Channel Point rewards can combine creator text, viewer text, routed character voices, and one local sound effect as a single uninterrupted sequence.
6. Capture in OBS
Use Entourage as a window and application-audio source in the OBS composition. The floating panel can be hidden while the stage remains visible.
