Troubleshooting
Public setup instructions will be finalized after plugin and Mobile compatibility testing. These checks describe the intended product boundary.
A contributor cannot connect
Confirm the receiving computer is running a supported stock OBS release with the Symphony plugin loaded. Confirm the invitation is current, the contributor was authorized, and both sides have usable network access. Revoke and replace an invitation if it was exposed.
A desktop contributor cannot send
Both desktop computers require the free Symphony plugin. Symphony Mobile is not involved in a desktop-to-desktop connection.
A mobile contributor cannot send
The phone or tablet requires Symphony Mobile for Android. The receiving computer requires stock OBS Studio with the Symphony plugin. Installing the mobile app alone does not add a source to OBS.
A contributor is connected but not visible
Check that the host added the correct Symphony Remote Source and that the source is visible in the active OBS scene. Verify its transform, crop, filters, and audio controls inside OBS.
A protected Android app is black or silent
This is expected when Android or the source application prohibits capture. Symphony does not bypass protected surfaces, DRM, blocked audio, or application capture restrictions.
The device becomes hot or unstable
Lower resolution, frame rate, layer count, or other advanced processing. Stop the contribution if Android reports thermal limits and allow the device to cool.
Reporting a reproducible problem
Use the contact form. Include the Symphony version, OBS version, operating system, device model, connection type, and exact steps to reproduce. Never include pairing codes, credentials, private media, or network addresses.
